since there are many international/exchange students every semester. I recommend
applying for a bank account online before you go to the actual branch.
2. Internet connection in Singapore is quite fast and the National University of Singapore
has wifi throughout the whole campus. I recommend buying a monthly SIM card which
you have options to choose from depending on your data usage.
3. Transportation in Singapore is very convenient, and you can pay for public metro and
buses with their public transport card or any credit card. (Mastercard or visa)
4. Since Singapore is a very humid country, I recommend packing thin clothes. However,
there are places with strong air conditioning, so bring some jackets.
5. Singapore uses a 230V power plug therefore, it is better to prepare a travel adapter
before coming to Singapore.
6. I recommend applying for housing for Utown and PGPR because they have various
meal choices. In addition, the location of Utown is very convenient for going to classes
and cafeterias and PGPR is close to the metro station.
